U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said America, in cooperation with the coalition, is ready to make every effort to fill the gaps in the armament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He stated this in an interview with PBS NewsHour on Thursday, Ukrinform reports.

"If there are gaps, if there are shortages, they’ll tell us and we will make every effort to make good on them.," said the head of the US foreign policy department.

He said the U.S. was working with more than 50 countries to adapt to Ukraine's needs – “depending on the nature of the fight, where it was, what was needed, to make sure that, again, they had what they needed.”

This, according to Blinken, is an ongoing process: "[W]e’re working literally every single day with the Ukrainians and with this coalition of countries to make sure they have support."

Commenting on the UK's move to provide long-range missiles to Ukraine, Blinken emphasized: "It’s precisely why we have a coalition of countries that are supporting Ukraine.  Different countries will do different things depending on their own capacities, depending on their own technology, depending on what makes the most sense."

As Ukrinform reported earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine needed “a bit more time” to launch the long-anticipated counteroffensive against Russia, as the military is still seeing vowed assistance coming in from the West.
