Powerful explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied town of Dovzhansk in the Luhansk region late on March 14. According to preliminary information, an ammunition depot exploded in the town.
This was reported on Telegram by adviser to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense Serhii Sternenko, as cited by Ukrinform.
“Fire and detonation occurred following a strike on a Russian ammunition depot in temporarily occupied Dovzhansk in the Luhansk region,” the statement reads.
The strike likely hit a storage site for missiles intended for air defense systems, the defense minister’s adviser noted.
As Ukrinform previously reported, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed strikes on the Afipsky oil refinery and the infrastructure of the Port of Kavkaz in the Russian Federation.
