Enemy reduces launch altitude of Shahed drones over Zaporizhzhia to 250 meters — Fedorov
This was announced during a briefing by Ivan Fedorov, the Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
He said that the situation on the front line, the enemy's actions, and possible developments are analyzed daily. The military is building defenses accordingly.
“The war is changing. If 1.5 years ago we were building large trenches and dugouts for personnel, today, one of the main defenses of the territory is anti-tank ditches. We must strengthen the defense of the city and the region,” he said.
At the same time, Fedorov noted that the enemy is constantly adapting its tactics to utilize specific types of weapons.
"Previously, the enemy launched Shahed and Molniya drones along the Dnipro River. Today, they cannot. Where are they launching them now? I won't say, we'll find out a little later. Previously, the enemy launched Shaheds at an altitude of 3,000-4,000 meters. In the last attack on Zaporizhzhia, the enemy launched them at an altitude of 250 meters. The enemy is definitely constantly looking for gaps in our defense, and we are looking for them in the enemy's use of weapons. It's a race to stay ahead," Fedorov said.
He also reported that today, less than 10% of the Molniya drones launched by the enemy reach Zaporizhzhia.
“The enemy launches dozens, but only two reach their target, for example. There was a day when we shot down 86 Molniya drones. This is a separate big job,” added the Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
Earlier, it was reported that today the Russians also attacked Zaporizhzhia with a drone, and yesterday an enemy drone killed a person in one of the city's districts.
