Zelensky announces new security agreements with partners
In his video address, Zelensky said that air defense for Ukraine, support for the armed forces, and strengthening defense capabilities remain a constant priority, Ukrinform reports.
"We are preparing important announcements regarding our security cooperation with partners next week. We do not forget that air defense for Ukraine, support for our army, and ensuring our defense remain constant priorities. More security arrangements are forthcoming – Rustem Umerov is working with the relevant countries," he said.
The president noted that Ukraine already has an agreement on security cooperation with India and is finalizing the documentation.
"We are finalizing it so that the documents are in place. Rustem has just briefed on the details," Zelensky added.
He also said Ukraine is preparing new work with European partners to unblock a previously approved support package that has not yet begun to be delivered.
"It is important to unblock it," Zelensky said.
As previously reported, key elements of a EUR 90 billion EU credit support package for Ukraine have already been prepared, and the first tranche could be disbursed in the second quarter of 2026.
