Zelensky discusses Geneva peace plan meeting with Stubb
Stubb stated this on X, Ukrinform reports.
"I spoke with President Zelensky this morning. I welcome the progress made at yesterday's meetings between US and Ukraine in Geneva. The negotiations were a step forward, but there are still major issues which remain to be resolved," Stubb said.
According to him, "any decision falling in the remit of EU or NATO will be discussed and decided by EU and NATO members in a separate track."
As Ukrinform reported earlier, following the talks between the delegations of Ukraine and the United States in Geneva, the parties agreed to continue working on joint proposals for a peace agreement. Both sides described the consultations as extremely productive. The parties confirmed that any future agreement must fully respect Ukraine's sovereignty and ensure a sustainable and just peace. Following the talks, the parties prepared an updated and revised framework document on peace.
