Svyrydenko noted that this morning Russia carried out another large-scale strike on Kyiv with ballistic missiles, causing explosions in multiple districts. Residential buildings, a kindergarten, and commercial premises were damaged. At least two civilians were killed and twelve others injured.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the enemy strikes were again directed at civilian and energy infrastructure.
“This was another deliberate act of terror against the people of Ukraine,” she said, adding that Russia is attempting to create a humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine ahead of winter.
According to Svyrydenko, the attacks on Ukrainian cities clearly demonstrate the aggressor’s aim to destroy civilian life.
“To stop this terror, Ukraine urgently needs stronger air defense systems and greater international resolve,” the Prime Minister stressed.
She also expressed gratitude to rescue workers, medical staff, and municipal service employees, highlighting that their courage and professionalism save lives every day.
“Kyiv stands, as does the entire country — united, resilient, and determined to defend our people,” Svyrydenko said.
As previously reported, in the early hours of October 25, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles. Fires broke out in several locations.
Russian strikes also hit Lozova in Kharkiv region, cutting electricity for around 25,000 households.
In Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian attacks killed two civilians and injured seven more.
