The Russian command attempted to unblock its forces near Dobropillia but failed. As of today, Russian losses on this front amount to approximately 13,000, the enemy has retreated, and Ukrainian forces are now clearing Volodymyrivka.
This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a briefing with journalists, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“Today, the offensive actions came from the Russian side – Volodymyrivka, Shakhivka, and then Sofiivka. They wanted to unblock their troops. As you know, they have already suffered around 13,000 losses and therefore tried to free their soldiers. They suffered losses, retreated, their equipment was destroyed, and now Volodymyrivka is being cleared,” Zelensky said.
As Ukrinform previously reported, since the beginning of the day, there have been 102 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops, with fighting still ongoing in five sectors.
