British Ambassador: Russia must agree to ceasefire now

British Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Harris, commenting on another large-scale Russian attack on Ukrainian cities, called on Russia to immediately agree to a ceasefire.

The diplomat wrote about this on the social network X, according to Ukrinform.

“Russia’s indiscriminate attack on Kyiv and other cities is an appalling reminder that it is relentlessly pursuing its war, while Ukraine and its partners seek a just & lasting peace. My condolences to all those who lost their loved ones. Russia must agree to a ceasefire now,” the Ambassador’s post reads.

As reported by Ukrinform, overnight on June 17, 27 locations in Kyiv were targeted in a combined Russian attack. According to preliminary data, 14 people were killed and 114 injured, of whom 68 were hospitalized.

In Odesa, one person was killed and 10 injured.

In Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, one person was injured in each.
