Russian drone strike damages port infrastructure in Izmail

Port infrastructure facilities in Izmail were damaged as a result of a drone attack overnight on April 8.

According to Ukrinform, Ukraine's Ministry for Communities and Territories Development reported this on Telegram.

"The enemy continues to deliberately target logistics and port infrastructure. Last night, Russia attacked the Odesa region with strike drones. In Izmail, port infrastructure facilities at one of the enterprises were damaged as a result of hits," the statement reads.

According to the ministry, fires broke out in warehouse areas, but all blazes were promptly extinguished by emergency responders.

Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties.

All relevant emergency services were working at the scene.
