On Tuesday, April 7, residents of Russia's Moscow, Vladimir, and Yaroslavl regions reported at least three explosions at the same time. An engineering munitions arsenal may have been among the targets.

According to Ukrinform, Telegram channel Astra stated this in a post.

It's suggested that the explosions could be linked to an attack on an engineering munitions arsenal in the Alexandrov district of Vladimir region.

At around 20:00 local time on Tuesday, residents of the three regions reported loud explosions. At the same time, the governors of these regions did not officially comment on the situation.

Videos recorded by local residents captured explosions in the cities of Sergiyev Posad (Moscow region) and Pereslavl-Zalessky (Yaroslavl region). Footage of smoke and a fiery glow also appeared in several settlements in Vladimir region.

Authorities in Pereslavl-Zalessky stated that the sounds heard by residents were caused by aircraft breaking the sound barrier, not explosions.

According to Astra's analysis, a video showing smoke over the town of Strunino in Vladimir region was filmed about 7.5 kilometers from the 1263rd Central Arsenal of Engineer Munitions. However, it remains unclear what exactly was burning in the area.

NASA's FIRMS monitoring system did not detect any fires on the territory of the arsenal.

According to open data, the 1263rd Order of the Red Star Central Arsenal of Engineer Munitions (military unit 42754 in the Russian Ministry of Defense system) is located near the settlement of Arsaki in the Alexandrov district of Vladimir region, about 22 kilometers west of Alexandrov. The facility is a military town and a storage site for engineering munitions.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on the night of April 7, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck the Ust-Luga Oil terminal in Slobodka, Leningrad region (Russia).
