More than a company of invaders decimated in Tavria direction in past day

The Ukrainian troops destroyed and damaged about 30 units of the enemy's weapons and military equipment and two ammunition depots in Tavria direction over the past day. The invaders' manpower losses amounted to more than a company.

“The invaders are concentrating their main efforts on conducting offensive operations in Avdiyivka and Maryinka directions, actively using operational-tactical and army aviation to launch strikes on the positions of Ukrainian troops,” General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, Commander of the Operational and Strategic Group of Troops "Tavria", posted on Telegram.

As noted, the enemy attacked the Ukrainian positions 17 times over the past day. The invaders had no success and retreated. Using tanks, multiple launch rocket systems, and tube artillery, the enemy shells the positions of our units and settlements bordering the contact line. To adjust the artillery fire, the enemy uses UAVs.

Over the past 24 hours, 403 strikes were recorded in Tavria direction.

"The missile and artillery units of the Defense Forces of Tavria direction performed 700 fire missions over the past day, namely counter-battery fight and strikes on planned targets identified earlier. The enemy's losses in killed and wounded amounted to more than a company," Tarnavskyi informed.

He also noted that 29 units of the enemy's weapons and military equipment were destroyed and damaged. These are, in particular, three tanks, two IFVs, three armored personnel carriers, 2S4 Tyulpan self-propelled heavy mortar, BM-21 Grad rocket launcher, two Murom-M surveillance systems, Shturm S anti-tank missile system, Supercam UAV, Zala UAV, Eleron UAV, two Lancet-3 UAVs, and vehicles.

In addition, two ammunition depots of the Russian invaders were destroyed.

As reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 194,430 Russian invaders from February 24, 2022 to May 7, 2023.
