War update: Over 60 enemy attacks repelled in eastern Ukraine

Russian troops are focusing efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Over the past day, our defenders have repelled over 60 enemy attacks in these directions. Meanwhile, the enemy launched eight missile strikes and 32 air strikes, opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 85 times. The threat of further missile strikes is significant all over Ukraine,” the report states.

In the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian military have destroyed 11 Iranian-manufactured Shahed-136 suicide drones and one Zala unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

Ukraine’s Air Force launched four strikes on enemy clusters. The Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit one Russian command post, two enemy personnel clusters and two air defense missile system positions.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, no offensive enemy groupings were detected. Russian occupiers opened fire on the Chernihiv region’s Tymonovychi and Berylivka; the Sumy region’s Starykove, Brusky, Buvalyne, Kruzhok, Manukhivka, Atynske and Porozok; the Kharkiv region’s Chervona Zoria, Veterynarne, Strilecha, Hatyshche, Vovchansk and Vovchanski Khutory.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian troops were conducting unsuccessful offensive actions near the Luhansk region’s Makiivka, Ploshchanka, Kreminna, Dibrova and Bilohorivka. The enemy launched artillery strikes near the Kharkiv region’s Dvorichna, Lyman Pershyi, Hrianykivka, Kurylivka, Kyslivka and Tabaivka; the Luhansk region’s Novoselivske, Nevske, Chervonopopivka and Dibrova; the Donetsk region’s Spirne and Rozdolivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks near the Donetsk region’s Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Berkhivka, Yahidne and Bakhmut. Russian occupiers shelled such settlements as Zaliznianske, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Berkhivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Kostiantynivka, Klishchiivka, Zalizne, Ozarianivka, Maiorsk, Pivdenne and New York.

In the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, Russian invaders continue attacking the positions of Ukrainian forces. They launched several unsuccessful attempts to launch the offensive towards the Donetsk region’s Kamianka, Krasnohorivka and Marinka. The enemy launched artillery and mortar strikes near Avdiivka, Lastochkyne, Netailove, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Nevelske, Marinka, Bohoiavlenka, Novomykhailivka, Velyka Novosilka, Neskuchne and Vuhledar.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, over 20 settlements came under enemy fire, including the Donetsk region’s Vremivka and Novopil; the Zaporizhzhia region’s Komyshuvakha, Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Orikhiv and Novoandriivka.

In the Kherson direction, Russian troops launched artillery strikes near 25 settlements, namely the Kherson region’s Havrylivka, Kachkarivka, Vesele, Tiahynka, Inzhenerne, Antonivka, Berehove and Kherson.

Russian occupiers are preventing civilians from moving within the Kherson region’s temporarily occupied areas. In particular, only those who have local registration and a special permit are allowed to enter the Kherson region’s Promin.
