Russian invaders damage almost 2,200 educational facilities across Ukraine

As a result of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, 2,199 educational facilities were damaged in the country, of which 225 were completely destroyed.

That’s according to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, Ukrinform reports.

"2,199 educational institutions were damaged due to bombing and shelling by the Russian armed forces. Of them, 225 were completely destroyed," reads the statement posted on Telegram.

It is noted that the number of children killed and injured as a result of the Russian invasion has not changed as of July 30. It’s 358 and 693, respectively. In total, more than 1,051 children were injured as a result of Russia’s actions.

The PGO informs that these numbers are not final, as work is ongoing to verify data coming from the zones of active hostilities, temporarily captured and liberated territories.

The agency states that the largest numbers of children casualties were reported in Donetsk region (363), Kharkiv region (195), Kyiv region (116), Chernihiv region (68), Luhansk region (61), Mykolaiv region (57), Kherson region (54), and Zaporizhia region (40).

As reported by Ukrinform, on July 28, the PGO said more than 1,051 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale Russian invasion.
