Dynamo Kyiv has defeated Shakhtar Donetsk 3-1 and won the Ukrainian Super Cup for the ninth time in history.
The best teams of last season – Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk and Ukrainian Cup winners Dynamo Kyiv – met in the match for the Ukrainian Super Cup at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kyiv on August 25.
Carlos de Pena, Gerson Rodrigues and Fran Sol scored for Dynamo Kyiv. Moraes scored for Shakhtar Donetsk.
This is Mircea Lucescu's first trophy as the manager of the Kyiv club.
In the first round of the Ukrainian Premier League, Dynamo Kyiv beat Olimpik 4-1 and Shakhtar Donetsk defeated Kolos 3-1.
