Svitolina climbs to seventh place in WTA Rankings

Ukraine's top-seeded tennis player Elina Svitolina has climbed one spot to seventh in the WTA Rankings released on July 15.

Svitolina (4,638 points) is ahead of German Angelique Kerber (2,875) who dropped eight positions after Wimbledon and is now 13th in the table, Ukrinform reports.

Dayana Yastremska (1,619 points) ranks 34th, Lesia Tsurenko (1,556) fell to 36th spot, and Kateryna Kozlova (840) remains 66th.

Australian Ashleigh Barty (6,605) continues to top the table. Japanese Naomi Osaka (6,377) is second, and Czech Karolina Pliskova (6,055) is third. Wimbledon winner Simona Halep from Romania (5,933) climbed from seventh to fourth place.
