Svitolina wins through to Wimbledon semifinals

Ukraine's top-seeded tennis player Elina Svitolina (No. 8 seed in the WTA rankings) has defeated Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon tennis tournament.
The Ukrainian beat her Czech opponent 7-5, 6-4 in London on July 9, Ukrinform reports.
The match lasted one hour and 34 minutes.
Svitolina has become the first Ukrainian to reach a Wimbledon semifinal.
In the semifinals of the tournament, Svitolina will take on former world No. 1 Simona Halep of Romania, No. 7 in the WTA rankings.
