Svitolina now seventh in WTA ranking

Ukraine’s No.1 tennis player Elina Svitolina for the first time over the past 15 months has left the list of top 6 female tennis players worldwide, having moved from the fifth to the seventh spot in the ranking of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) updated on August 13.
WTA ranking is headed by Simona Halep from Romania (8,061), Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark (6,135), Sloane Stephens from the United States (5,727), Angelique Kerber (5,235), Caroline Garcia from France (4,680), and Petra Kvitová from the Czech Republic (4,550).
Elina Svitolina ranks seventh with 4,470 points, Ukrinform reports.
Lesya Tsurenko from Kyiv (1,255) has moved up one position over the past week and now ranks 44th. Kateryna Bondarenko (777) is the 86th, Kateryna Kozlova (749) - the 90th.
In WTA ranking, Dayana Yastremska (609) moved up to the 103rd spot. Marta Kostiuk (471) took the 131st position, and Angelina Kalinina (454) is the 135th.
