Svitolina moves into quarterfinals of Rogers Cup in Montreal

Ukraine’s No.1 Elina Svitolina continues to defend her title at the Rogers Cup in Montreal with a prize fund of $2.82 million.
In the third round, No.5 seed and defending champion Svitolina scored a fourth straight win against Johanna Konta to move back into the quarterfinals of the Coupe Rogers on Thursday afternoon, 6-3, 6-4, WTA reports.
The defending champion's next test will come in the form of No.14 Elise Mertens or unseeded Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, who were slated to play in a third round match on Thursday night.
