Svitolina beats Cornet at Mutua Madrid Open

No.4 seed Elina Svitolina has won over France's Alizé Cornet 6-2, 6-2 at the Mutua Madrid Open on Saturday.
“The Ukrainian was sharp from nearly first ball to last in the 71-minute first round encounter, striking 28 winners to Cornet's 10, winning 13 of 17 points when she found her way to the net, and breaking serve five times to win her fourth straight match against the French No.3,” WTA tennis portal reports.
As noted, Svitolina will next face the winner of the match between Carla Suárez Navarro and Barbora Strycova.
