Ukrainian film SHE recognized as Best Short Film at London festival

The Ukrainian short film SHE has won the Best Short Film 2025 award at the Women in the World International Film Festival in London.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by the 3rd Army Corps.

Four of the film’s heroines are medics from units of the 3rd Army Corps. The Varta project film portrays the realities of the war, as well as the personal stories and reflections of women who defend Ukraine in various military roles.

The short story SHE is dedicated to the memory of Valkyria — a fallen combat medic of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade.

The project’s director is Yevhen Matviienko, and the producer is Mariana Shafro.

The film will premiere in Kyiv on 11 December. An online screening is scheduled for 12 December.

As reported by Ukrinform, filming has begun in Ukraine for the adventure feature film On Drive, an action film depicting the story of frontline Kharkiv, where life continues despite the war.
