Zelensky, European leaders to hold call with Trump on Thursday

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and several European leaders are set to hold a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday, September 4, following the Coalition of the Willing meeting scheduled for the same day.

According to Ukrinform, this is stated in a press release from the Elysee Palace.

On Thursday morning, French President Emmanuel Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer will co-chair the Coalition of the Willing meeting, which will take place in a hybrid format.

The leaders of participating states and governments are expected to discuss progress made on security guarantees for Ukraine, the work carried out by military commanders in recent weeks, and the latest developments regarding Russia, which has continued to reject peace efforts following the Washington summit on August 18.

"A phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump is scheduled for 14:00 Paris time [15:00 Kyiv time]," the press release said.

Sky News reports that several European leaders, including Macron and Zelensky, will take part in the call with Trump.
