Trump says he awaits Putin’s decision on war in Ukraine

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he has no message for Russian President Vladimir Putin, as Russia will ultimately have to make its own decision regarding the war in Ukraine—and the United States will respond accordingly.
Trump stated this on Wednesday during a meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki in the Oval Office, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“I have no message to President Putin. He knows where I stand, and he'll make a decision one way the other,” Trump noted.
He emphasized that whatever decision the Russian leader makes, the United States will “either be happy about it, or unhappy”.
“If we're unhappy about it, you'll see things happen,” the U.S. president added.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, on Wednesday U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced that President Trump had instructed the Department of Defense to renew deterrence efforts against China, Russia, and other adversaries.
