During a meeting with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stressed the importance of intensifying sanctions against Russia.

As Ukrinform reports, Sybiha shared details of the meeting on the social media platform X.

The talks took place at the outset of President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Canada for the G7 Summit.

“I thanked my Canadian counterpart for the invitation to the summit and underscored the importance of strengthening sanctions against Russia. Lowering oil price cap is critical to deprive Moscow of resources to fund the war,” Sybiha wrote.
