According to Kiper, the massive strikes targeted the city’s civilian and critical infrastructure. A missile struck the roof of a four-story maternity hospital building without causing a fire. At the time of the attack, there were 80 people inside the facility, 33 of whom were medical workers; all were in shelters.

Damage and partial destruction have been reported in private and multi-story buildings, as well as at critical infrastructure sites. The television center’s premises were also damaged.

Operational headquarters, emergency services, and rescue teams are working on the spot. Cleanup efforts are ongoing, and information regarding the casualties is being verified. Law enforcement agencies are documenting yet another war crime committed by Russia against the civilian population.

Subsequently, the Prosecutor General's Office provided updated information regarding the dead and wounded.

“A woman and a man were killed in the attack. Another 11 people were injured, including a 9-year-old boy,” the statement said.

It is noted that on the night of March 27, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Odesa using strike drones. The strike on civilian infrastructure lasted from after midnight until morning.

A maternity hospital, three educational institutions (two of which are preschools), two five-story residential buildings, one ten-story residential building, 12 private homes, and at least 10 vehicles were damaged.
