Russian attack on Odesa: one killed, casualties rise to 11

One person was killed and 11 others were injured, including a child, as a result of a Russian strike on civilian infrastructure in Odesa.

Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"As of 7:00 a.m., unfortunately, we know that one person has died in the hospital as a result of their injuries. My sincere condolences to the family and loved ones," he said.

In total, according to Lysak, 11 people were injured, including one child. All the injured are receiving the necessary medical care.

Across the city: a strike on the roof of one of the maternity hospitals was recorded; in the Primorsky district, there is significant damage to residential buildings. In high-rise buildings, there has been destruction of balconies, damage to windows, and fires on the upper floors. In the private sector, fires broke out in residential buildings; the fires have been extinguished. More than 10 cars were damaged.

In the Khadzhibey district, fires were reported in apartments and on the roof of a five-story building.

In the Kyiv district, non-residential buildings were damaged and windows were shattered in residential buildings.

All utility services and specialized equipment are on the ground. Emergency response centers and mobile warming centers have been set up in buses and tents, where those affected are receiving all necessary assistance and counseling. Specialists are working to restore damaged infrastructure.

As a reminder, on the night of March 28, Russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure in Odesa, with strikes recorded on a maternity hospital and fires in residential buildings in the private sector. Earlier reports indicated ten people were injured.
