Russian forces shell Chernihiv region 34 times; one man killed

Russian forces shelled the Chernihiv region 34 times over the past 24 hours, killing a 95-year-old man. The enemy’s attack damaged a grain storage facility in the Semenivka community and an energy facility in the Siversk district.

According to Ukrinform, Viacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.

"Yesterday afternoon, a 95-year-old man—the homeowner—was killed when an enemy drone struck a house in the village of the Snovsk community. The house was destroyed. In total, there were 34 shelling incidents and 44 explosions over the past 24 hours," he wrote.

According to Chaus, there was also a strike in a village in the Semenivka community. There, the target was the harvest—the drone struck a grain storage facility.

It is noted that late in the evening of March 27, an energy facility in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district was damaged in an attack. Several settlements were left without power. An FPV drone struck a communications facility.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported that Russian drones damaged a food processing plant and railway infrastructure in Chernihiv.
