Germany’s Ambassador to Ukraine, Martin Jaeger, expressed confidence that Russia’s strategy of exhausting Ukraine with missile terror in an attempt to force it into capitulation will not succeed.
The diplomat made this statement on social media platform X, commenting on yet another overnight Russian air attack on Ukrainian cities, Ukrinform reports.
“Third night in a row – heavy Russian air attacks. Again using drones and missiles. Russia’s plan: to exhaust Ukraine and force it to capitulate. This plan will not work. Ukraine is strong. Germany stands firmly by its side,” the German Ambassador wrote.
As Ukrinform previously reported, Ukraine’s air defense forces shot down nine Kh-101 cruise missiles and neutralized 288 out of 355 drones used by Russia in attacks starting in the evening of May 25.
