Ukraine, U.S. delegations kick off meeting in Saudi Arabia - MFA

The Ukrainian and American delegations started their meeting in Jeddah.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported this on Telegram, Ukrinform saw.

“A meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations is beginning in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia,” the ministry noted.

The U.S. State Department press service said the meeting of the American and Ukrainian delegations in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) was scheduled for Tuesday at 12:00 local time (11:00 Kyiv time).

As Ukrinform reported, earlier on Tuesday, the head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, said a Ukrainian delegation had arrived in Saudi Arabia for negotiations with U.S. administration officials.

Ukraine is represented by the head Andriy Yermak, his deputy Pavlo Palisa, Minister for Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiga and Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov. The American side is represented by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.

Volodymyr Zelensky expressed confidence that the meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations in Saudi Arabia would turn out to be productive.
