War update: 91 clashes on frontline, 7,696 ceasefire violations recorded since truce begins
This is according to Ukrinform, citing operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 22:00 on April 12, 2026, posted on Facebook.
“A total of 91 combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day. The enemy used 4,767 kamikaze drones and carried out 840 shelling attacks on populated areas and our troop positions,” the military said.
According to the General Staff, in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out 15 shelling attacks; one combat clash was recorded.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Russian forces launched 10 attacks near Synelnykove, Starytsia, Izbytske, Vovchansk, and Lyman; one assault is ongoing.
In the Kupiansk sector, three attacks took place near Petropavlivka, Podoly, and toward Zahryzove; one is ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian forces repelled five assaults.
In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy attempted five advances toward Rai-Oleksandrivka, Ozerne, Kalenyky, and Riznykivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, one attack was recorded toward Markove.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces carried out 14 assaults on the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Novopavlivka, Kucheriv Yar, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy carried out 22 attacks. Russian forces attempted to advance in the areas of the settlements of Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Zatyshok, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Molodetske, Muravka, and Novopavlivka.
According to preliminary estimates, 55 Russian soldiers were killed and 15 were wounded in this sector today. In addition, eight vehicles were destroyed; 15 shelters, one artillery piece, and five vehicles were damaged. A total of 214 UAVs of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, Russian forces carried out five attacks near Oleksandrohrad and toward Andriivka-Klevtsove, Zelenyi Hai, Sichneve, Kalynivske, and Verbove.
In the Huliaipole sector, 12 attacks by Russian forces were recorded near Zaliznychne, Varvarivka, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, and Myrne. One assault is still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv sector, no assault actions were recorded.
In the Prydniprovske sector, no attempts by the enemy to improve their positions were observed.
No significant changes were reported on other fronts.
The General Staff noted that since the start of the ceasefire, there have been no missile or air strikes, nor strikes by Shahed-type kamikaze drones. However, Russian forces carried out: 1,355 artillery shelling attacks; 115 assault operations; 6,226 kamikaze drone strikes (including 1,677 of types such as Italmas, Lancet, Molniya, and 4,549 FPV drones).
In total, 7,696 ceasefire violations by Russian forces have been recorded since the truce was declared.
The military noted that while Russian forces generally observe the ceasefire, they continue combat operations in certain areas, including the use of FPV and kamikaze drones.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to carry out their assigned tasks, adhere to the ceasefire, and respond with return fire when necessary.
As previously reported, Russian forces attacked an evacuation group with drones and killed their own prisoners in the Donetsk region.
