Sybiha, Rubio discuss upcoming Ukraine-U.S. talks in Saudi Arabia

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha discussed the upcoming meeting between Ukrainian and American delegations in Saudi Arabia during a phone call with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday.

As reported by Ukrinform, Sybiha shared the news on social media X.

“We discussed the upcoming meeting between Ukrainian and U.S. delegations in Saudi Arabia. Ukraine wants the war to end, and U.S. leadership is essential for achieving lasting peace. We also discussed ways to advance our bilateral cooperation,” Sybiha reported.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine and U.S. teams will meet in Saudi Arabia next week. The visit will begin on Monday, with a planned meeting between the Ukrainian President and the Crown Prince, followed by ongoing work with American partners.

On Friday, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the negotiations between Ukraine and the United States will take place in Jeddah on the Red Sea next week.
