Trump says 'a lot of progress' made in talks with Ukraine, Russia

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that his team has made "a lot of progress" in negotiations with Ukraine and Russia regarding an end to the war.
He told this to reporters at the White House on Thursday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"We've made a lot of progress with Ukraine and a lot of progress with Russia over the last couple of days. And it would be great to bring that [war] to an end," Trump said.
He also said he was sure that Ukraine wants to sign a peace deal, adding that he does not think the country has much of a choice. He also claimed that Russia, too, is interested in reaching an agreement.
However, Trump did not provide specific details about the discussions with either country.
