Norwegian government seeks to increase aid to Ukraine

"I can say today that we will go back to parliament in the near future with a proposal to increase the support (to Ukraine - ed.)," Støre told Norwegian broadcaster NRK on Saturday.

It is noted that at the end of last year, the Norwegian parliament agreed to allocate a total of 35 billion Norwegian kroner ($3.12 billion) for military and civil assistance to Ukraine in 2025 and a total of 155 billion kroner in the period from 2023 to 2030.

On Sunday, March 2, Støre will meet with European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in London.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, President Zelensky and Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre discussed cooperation in the defense-industrial complex, paying special attention to Ukrainian production of long-range missiles and drones.
