Estonia’s President urges EU to seriously consider full trade embargo on Russia

Estonian President Alar Karis believes that the European Union should seriously consider imposing a full trade embargo on Russia.

He stated this on the social network X, Ukrinform reports.

"European Union should boost independence even further and end all Russian energy imports to the EU. We should even seriously consider a full trade embargo on Russia," he wrote.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on February 8, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia disconnected their power systems from the Russian and Belarusian energy networks.

On February 9, the Baltic states synchronized their energy systems with continental Europe.
