Zelensky discusses preparations for Global Peace Summit with Saudi Crown Prince

President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the development of cooperation between the countries and preparations for the Global Peace Summit with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

The Head of State said this in a post on the social network X, Ukrinform reports.

“I had a call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on ways to further develop Ukraine’s ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf,” Zelensky wrote.

The President added that he thanked His Royal Highness for his personal efforts to make the Peace Formula meeting in Jeddah a success.

Zelensky invited a Saudi representative to take part in the next round of talks in Malta and noted the importance of the Kingdom’s role in preparing for the Global Peace Summit.

“We also discussed the situation in the Middle East. I highlighted the need of preventing further escalation of the conflict and civilian casualties,” Zelensky wrote.

As reported, the second meeting at the level of national security advisers and political directors regarding the key principles of peace based on the Peace Formula of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was held in Jeddah on August 5-6.
