Prime Minister of Japan arrives in Ukraine

Japanese officials say Prime Minister Kishida Fumio arrived in Ukraine on Tuesday on an unannounced visit.

As NHK WORLD-JAPAN reports, Kishida arrived in Ukraine after visiting India. It will mark the first visit to Ukraine by a Japanese leader since the start of the Russian invasion.

The Prime Minister of Japan will hold talks with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

As reported, last year the Government of Japan provided Ukraine with various assistance totaling about $1.6 billion.
