SSU drones damage three oil tanks at Russian Gorky pumping station

Ukrinform
On the night of April 23, drones from the Special Operations Center "A" of the Security Service of Ukraine targeted the Gorky oil pumping station in the Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation.

A source in the SSU reported this to Ukrinform.

“Damage to such critical infrastructure creates serious disruptions in oil supply logistics within Russia. It disrupts the operation of main pipelines, reduces refining efficiency at oil refineries, and increases transportation costs. Ultimately, this directly affects Russian budget revenues, which are used to finance the war against Ukraine,” the informed source in the SSU reported.

The Gorky oil pumping station is a key link in the Russian Federation’s oil transportation system and is part of the structure of JSC Transneft – Upper Volga. The station transports oil via main pipelines, specifically along the Surgut–Gorky–Polotsk route. It ensures the transfer of raw materials to domestic routes, including to the Lukoil refinery in Kstovo.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of April 23, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked an oil refinery in Samara, Russia, and the Gorky oil pumping station.
