Poland issues over half a million visas to Ukrainians for last six months

In the first half of this year, consular offices in Poland issued more than 565,000 visas to Ukrainian citizens.

This has been reported by the Polish Foreign Ministry on request of an Ukrinform correspondent in Poland.

In the first half of this year, Poland issued more than 565,000 visas to Ukrainians, it is almost a quarter more than during the same period last year (over 433,000). At the same time, the number of visa denials in comparison with the previous year decreased from 5.8% to 4%.

During the first half of this year, six consulates of Poland in Ukraine (Kharkiv, Kyiv, Lviv, Lutsk, Vinnytsa and Odesa) issued 250,500 Schengen visas (type "C") to Ukrainians and 314,500 national visas (type "D").

 In comparison with the same period of 2015, the number of issued "Schengen" visas increased by 20% and national visas by 26%.
