Ukraine protects over 1,170 km of frontline logistics routes from drone attacks – Defense Minister
Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov said this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
“More than 1,170 km of routes have already been protected – we have doubled the pace of constructing anti-drone protection in frontline regions,” he noted.
According to the minister, the enemy is actively using FPV drones to target transport and logistics routes near the front line. For this reason, the State Special Transport Service, under instructions from the Ministry of Defense, is scaling up anti-drone protection in frontline areas.
“Such solutions ensure resilient logistics, rapid supply delivery, and safe evacuation of the wounded even under enemy fire,” Fedorov emphasized.
He stressed that in recent months, construction speed has significantly increased, with daily progress rising from 4 km to 8.5 km compared to 2025 levels.
“Only from February to April, 430 km of anti-drone protection was installed and 106 km of roads were restored. In total, more than 1,170 km of logistics routes have already been secured,” the minister said.
Fedorov added that road restoration in frontline regions is a separate focus area.
“Work is ongoing in five regions. More than 60 km of roads have already been restored, including the completion of three sections in the Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv directions,” he said.
As reported by Ukrinform, Defense Ministers of Ukraine and Germany, Mykhailo Fedorov and Boris Pistorius, visited Ukraine’s frontline regions.
