One man injured in shelling of Nikopol district as injury toll in Dnipro rises
Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the regional military administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
In the Nikopol district, the cities of Nikopol and Marhanets, as well as the Myrove, Pokrovske, and Chervonohryhorivka communities, came under fire.
Residential buildings, a fuel station, and a vehicle were damaged. A 51-year-old man was injured and is currently hospitalized in moderate condition.
In the Samar district, Russian forces struck the Pereshchepyne community, damaging infrastructure.
In the Synelnykove district, the Pokrovske community was attacked and a non-operational building was damaged.
Russian forces also struck the Zelenodolsk community in the Kryvyi Rih district, damaging private homes.
Hanzha also noted that in Dnipro, five more people sought medical assistance following the overnight attack. All will receive outpatient treatment.
"Thus, the total number of those injured has risen to 28, including eight hospitalized," he said.
Earlier reports stated that Russian forces carried out a missile strike on Dnipro overnight on May 18, initially leaving 22 people injured.
