A meeting of senior officials to discuss Ukraine’s progress in implementing a Visa Liberalization Action Plan, scheduled for November 10, has been postponed. The meeting will be held at an expert level.

A source in diplomatic circles told Ukrinform correspondent in Brussels.

“An official from the European Commission, who had to participate in the meeting, urgently leaves for a business trip to Turkey. Thus, the meeting on the cancelation of visas for Ukrainian has been postponed. But experts are exchanging opinions on this issue,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

As Ukrinform reported, on November 5, the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada failed to approve all of the draft laws needed for Ukraine to complete an Action Plan on visa liberalization with the EU. The Ukrainian parliament will try to fulfill these obligations on Tuesday, November 10, in order to receive positive recommendations from the European Commission to cancel visa regime.
