In the Cherkasy region, partial emergency power outage schedules have been implemented. Similar emergency schedules have also been introduced in the Sumy region.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Telegram by Ihor Taburets, Head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.

“At the instruction of NEC Ukrenergo, as of 07:35 on October 15, partial emergency outage schedules (EPOs) have been applied across the Cherkasy region,” he noted.

The head of the regional administration called on residents to understand the necessity of these measures aimed at preserving Ukraine’s power system.

“Today, it is essential to consume electricity very sparingly,” Taburets emphasized.

Also, Sumyoblenergo JSC reported on Facebook that emergency outage schedules have also been introduced in the Sumy region.

“At the instruction of NEC Ukrenergo, emergency outage schedules have been implemented in the Sumy region,” the statement reads.

It is noted that EPOs are currently in effect for consumer groups 1, 2, and 3.

Energy providers reminded the citizens that emergency outage schedules are applied in critical situations when it is necessary to urgently reduce the amount of power consumed from the grid. In such cases, the duration of the outage cannot be predicted, as this is an emergency measure. These are not hourly outage schedules, which have clearly defined time frames.

Information on emergency outages is displayed in real time in the E-Svitlo personal account and the mobile application of the same name.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to inform consumers in advance about the duration of outages under the EPO regime. All restrictions remain in effect until lifted by NEC Ukrenergo.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, emergency power outages have also been introduced in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
