Belarusian mercenary captured in Sumy region
The brigade reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“A citizen of Belarus, who voluntarily surrendered to the 47th Brigade Magura in the Sumy region, signed a contract with the Russian army and came to our land to kill Ukrainians for money. But something went wrong – and the invaders decided to surrender to the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the brigade said.
While retreating, the Belarusian stepped on a mine. Soldiers of the Magura brigade found him following his cries for help. A serviceman with the call sign “Liut” carried the wounded prisoner on his back for 10 kilometers through mined fields.
“I carried him so that he could be exchanged for one of our soldiers,” the defender said.
As previously reported, the body of a Nepalese mercenary was found among Russian forces eliminated in the Donetsk region.
