1,000 km from front line: Special Operations Forces strike oil rigs in Caspian Sea

The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have released footage of the destruction of two drilling platforms belonging to the Russian company Lukoil on the Caspian Sea shelf, which was carried out by Deep-strike units on the night of April 10.

According to Ukrinform, the Special Operations Forces posted the video on Telegram.

SSO drones struck ice-resistant platforms at the “Graifer” field (formerly the “Rakushche” field) and the “Korchagin” field in the northern waters of the Caspian Sea, approximately 1,000 kilometers from the front line.

The enemy uses these platforms as part of its army’s fuel supply chain.

Strikes on oil and gas infrastructure significantly limit Russia’s ability to supply fuel to its troops and fill its own budget. The Special Operations Forces continue asymmetric operations to strategically weaken the enemy in its war against Ukraine.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of April 10, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck two drilling platforms on the Caspian Sea shelf.
