Following a large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, emergency power outages have been implemented in several regions of the country.

According to Ukrinform, the National Power Company Ukrenergo made the announcement via Facebook.

“As a result of Russia’s massive missile and drone strike targeting energy facilities, a significant number of consumers have been left without power in Kyiv, as well as in the Kyiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Odesa regions. To stabilize the power system, emergency outages have been applied in these areas,” the statement reads.
