Zelensky assures gas prices for domestic consumers will remain unchanged
The head of state announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“We discussed the situation in the gas sector, increasing gas reserves, and providing for the people separately. We agreed that in the near future, the government will adopt a resolution that will maintain a fixed price for natural gas for domestic consumers,” Zelensky said.
He noted that a decision had already been made to impose a moratorium on disconnecting consumers in frontline communities from energy supplies.
“Despite all the challenges, we must support the communities that are currently facing the most difficulties,” the president stressed.
As reported by Ukrinform, on October 3, the Russians carried out the largest attack since February 2022 on the gas production facilities of the Naftogaz Group, launching 35 missiles and 60 drones.
