In accordance with the law, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) only informs the leadership of the state, the Verkhovna Rada, and the Cabinet of Ministers about the approximate forecast of a portion of profits that will be transferred to the state budget.

The relevant statement was made by the NBU’s press service in a commentary to Ukrinform.

As emphasized by the NBU, the amount transferred will depend on the actual operations of the National Bank and the Government, as well as macroeconomic indicators during 2025.

The final amount of the portion of profits to be transferred to the 2026 state budget will be determined after confirmation by an external audit and approval by the NBU Council of the annual financial statements of the National Bank of Ukraine for 2025.

A reminder that the Government expects that, in 2026, the state budget revenues from the transfer of the portion of the National Bank’s net profit will increase by about UAH 62 billion and hit a record high of UAH 146 billion. This indicator was included in Ukraine’s draft state budget for 2026.
