Ukraine’s gas reserves exceed last year’s levels – ExPro
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the consulting company ExPro.
“As of September 14, 2025, Ukrainian UGS contained 12.055 bcm of natural gas, while on September 14, 2024, reserves stood at 12.05 bcm, 0.05% or almost 5 mcm less gas. It is expected that the gap will continue to widen in the coming days,” the report states.
Since the beginning of the injection season, almost 6.68 bcm of gas has been pumped into UGS — 1.67 times more than last year. In September, daily injection volumes stand at 53.9 mcm, which is 2.3 times higher than during the same period last year. The average daily import volume this month is 23.6 mcm.
It was previously reported that by the start of the 2025–2026 heating season, Ukraine plans to accumulate at least 13.2 bcm of gas.
