Ukrainian drone maker raises $15M to develop AI-powered swarms
Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Swarmer, which develops AI-based solutions for drone autonomy, raised $15 million from U.S. investors: Broadband Capital Investments, R-G.AI, D3 Ventures, Green Flag Ventures, Radius Capital, and Network VC. This is the largest investment in a Ukrainian defense technology company since the beginning of the war," the statement read.
According to Fedorov, Swarmer's technologies have already proven effective on the battlefield. The new funding will allow the company to provide swarm capabilities to every UAV, enabling the deployment of unlimited numbers of drones and robots regardless of how many trained pilots are available.
As reported earlier, Brave1 recently completed final tests of loitering munitions with a strike range of over 40 km, which will soon be deployed to the battlefield.
