Hrynchuk and IMF representatives discussed preparations for heating season
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
Among other things, they discussed the latest attacks by Russian troops on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
Hrynchuk informed the IMF mission about the work being done to quickly repair and restore damaged facilities, as well as Ukraine's needs to strengthen the protection of its energy infrastructure.
She emphasized that, despite all the challenges, Ukraine continues to implement European integration reforms in the energy sector.

The parties clarified the current status of each of the reforms, in particular regarding the integration of the energy markets of Ukraine and the EU, the simplification of licensing procedures for the development of renewable energy, and the strengthening of the independence of the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Public Utilities.
“We have made good progress, which has been noted by our partners,” the ministry said.

The focus was also on reforms envisaged in Ukraine's Plan, in particular regarding corporate governance in the energy sector.
The parties agreed to maintain constant contact for the rapid exchange of information and continued consultations between the teams.
As reported by Ukrinform, on September 7, Russian troops attacked energy facilities in several regions of Ukraine. The following night, a thermal power plant in the Kyiv region came under heavy enemy fire.
