The Ministry of Digital Transformation together with Canada’s eQualitie handed over 172 SBL batteries to internet providers in all regions of Ukraine.

That’s according to the ministry’s press service, Ukrinform reports.

"Twenty-nine providers from all regions of Ukraine have received the batteries. Mostly they are in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, and Sumy. These are the regions that have the greatest issues with the internet due to blackouts," the statement says.

The ministry noted that this will help them power internet networks while there is no electricity supply, and help people stay in touch with their loved ones and be aware of the latest news.

The ministry thanked Canada’s eQualitie, DEPS, and the Association of "Rightholders and Content Providers" for their assistance in the campaign.
